Wow, the Lord blessed us with a beautiful day today! I think there had to be over 150 riders that showed up today. I enjoyed sharing the Purpose Driven Life book with several racers today. This book has really impacted my life! Family and friends are so much more important than cycling or any hobby for that matter.
Today's race I was looking for one person, Tris Hopkins. Four miles into the race, he was in the break. Tris has a motor that won't quit! I joined him and two others. The next lap the Lake Effect chase group was closing in hard. I worked hard for two laps and Tris told me the attacks will come later, so just sit in.
I wanted to get a hard workout in and I did just that. Attacking each other was fun at the end of the race, even though Lake Effect got the best of all of us. Good job to Rudy for taking 1st and Paul with 2nd.
